Qualifications

• HSD/GED is required.
• PCA training or PCA experience or enrollment in a health care program is required.
• 1–2 years STNA hospital experience preferred.
• CPR is preferred at hire but must be obtained within 2 weeks of start.

Responsibilities

• Assist the nurse in patient care activities, considering developmental levels.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills, accepts delegated tasks and reports patient information as indicated.
• Handles patient information with confidentiality and privacy.
• Complies with the safety program to keep environment hazard-free.
• Supports the hospital mission and patient/family experience.
• Measures and records vital signs, intake/output, assists with ADLs, and provides safe transport.
• Cross-trains to support clinical and clerical functions.
