Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN, seeks a Nursing Professional Development educator to lead clinical excellence initiatives and develop competency-based programs across nursing areas. The role reports to the CPD department and is a full-time day position in a hospital setting.

You will partner with leadership to design, implement, and evaluate programs that improve clinical performance and patient care, while advancing lifelong learning and inter-professional practice standards

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
• Registered Nurse license required prior to hire date.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.
• NICU experience is preferred.
• NRP instructor certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive Clinical Excellence: Assess, plan, implement, and elevate educational activities across diverse nursing clinical areas.
• Act as a Strategic Consultant: Partner with healthcare leadership to design, implement, and evaluate competency-based programs.
• Champion Lifelong Learning: Consult on the full lifecycle of Nursing Professional Development programs that uphold clinical standards.
• Elevate Scope of Practice: Establish and manage performance benchmarks for inter-professional programs.
