Job summary

HCA Healthcare is recruiting a NICU Registered Nurse for Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Kentucky. The RN will provide direct patient care within the standard practice act, applying therapeutic communication and safeguarding patient privacy while coordinating care across teams.

The role requires a nursing degree, typically 1 year of RN experience, and BLS certification, with NICU experience highly preferred and Kentucky nursing licensure (or a compact state) in good standing.

Qualifications

• Your degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.).
• 1 year of RN experience.
• NICU experience highly preferred.
• BLS certification.
• Current licensure by Kentucky Board of Nursing or Compact State.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the RN Practice Act.
• Utilize therapeutic communication, maintain a safe environment, and identify nursing problems for patient needs.
• Demonstrate age-specific knowledge of growth, development, assessment and care.
• Ensure patient privacy and PHI confidentiality.
• Use the nursing process to meet patient needs and document care.
• Coordinate care that supports the hospital's mission and vision.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

What you will do in this role:

• You will utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice, maintains a safe therapeutic environment, and identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient.

• You must demonstrate age specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients.

• Ensuring the privacy of our patients and confidentiality of their Protected Health Information (PHI) is core to your role.

• You will utilize the nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients and document all patient care.

• Your role demonstrates the ability to perform technical skills, follow procedures, and show critical thinking.

• You will provide care and coordinate participation that foster the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.

What qualifications you will need:

• Your degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.)

• 1 year of RN experience

• NICUexperience highly preferred

• BLS

• Current licensure by Kentucky Board of Nursing or Compact State
