Job summary

Parkridge East Hospital in Chattanooga, TN seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care within the RN scope. You will apply therapeutic communication, maintain a safe environment, and coordinate care with an interdisciplinary team to support the hospital’s mission.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, 1 year RN experience, and ability to obtain BLS and ACLS within 6 months. NICU experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold an accredited nursing degree (BSN or ASN).
• 1 year of RN experience required.
• NICU experience highly preferred.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 6 months.
• CPI Training & Certification required within 6 months.
• Current TN Board of Nursing license or Compact State license.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within RN scope.
• Use therapeutic communication and document care.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
• Maintain patient safety and privacy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs.

The Registered Nurse performs direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.

What qualifications you will need:

• Your degree from an accredited School of Professional Nursing (B.S. or A.S.)
• 1 year of RN experience required
• NICU experience highly preferred
• BLS

Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge. We provide a full range of medical and surgical services. These services include orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department. This ED is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility also offers obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures. We also hold a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Specialized providers in the NICU include neonatologists, neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists. These staff are on site at all times. Visit us for excellent general and OB care!
