Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor for NICU with night shifts and weekends rotation. This role leads daily unit operations, coordinates staffing, conducts rounds with the interdisciplinary team, and ensures high-quality patient care.

The position requires an RN license, BSN preferred, BLS/ACLS on hire, and 2+ years of clinical nursing with supervisory experience preferred. A sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and maintained.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directed daily unit operations (Charge Nurse): assign staff to patients, triage admissions, balance workloads, and lead interdisciplinary rounds.
• Supported department operations (Clinical Supervisor): schedule management, onboarding coordination, chart audits, and assist with hiring needs.
• Provided frontline leadership: manage escalations, fill staffing gaps, and ensure continuity of care and operations.
• Assists the Department Director in daily operations of the unit, directing, supervising and evaluating personnel.
