Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery. This full-time night-shift role delivers safe patient care within the Birthplace, with antepartum and postpartum responsibilities and rotating weekends.

Candidates must hold a valid RN license and possess BSN (preferred) along with BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications; fetal monitoring competencies are required or pursued within set timelines.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BSN degree preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications within required timeframes.
• Fetal monitoring certifications within required timeframes.
• STABLE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in antepartum and postpartum periods.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and treatment, ensuring newborn and mother safety.

Education

Current RN license

BSN degree preferred

BLS certification within 30 days

ACLS certification within 90 days

NRP certification within 90 days

Fetal monitoring within 60 days

AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring

AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (preferred)

STABLE preferred
