Job summary

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Hospital Authority is seeking a compassionate NICU‑experienced Registered Nurse for its 7‑bed Level III unit in New Jersey. You will participate in high‑risk deliveries, provide advanced monitoring, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support fragile neonates and their families.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of NICU experience, are proficient with electronic health records, and hold an active RN license with BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where the RN is providing patient care.
• BLS certification; additional specialty training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence‑based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and promotes ethical, patient‑centered care.
• Evaluates outcomes and takes action to improve patient and unit results.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and delegation within the team.
• Pursues professional development and maintains required certifications.
