Job summary

Catawba Valley Medical Center is seeking an experienced NICU RN to provide professional nursing care in a Level III NICU. You will make nursing decisions using the nursing process and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to meet neonatal patient needs.

Required are an accredited nursing program, NC RN license (or compact state), and certifications including BCLS, NRP, STABLE, and PALS within specified timelines. BSN is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Current NC RN license or licensure from Nursing Compact State.
• BCLS certification; AHA acceptable.
• NRP within three months of employment.
• STABLE within one year of employment; renewal not required
• PALS within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care and makes nursing care decisions using the nursing process.
• Collaborates with other health care professionals to meet patient needs.
• Adheres to CVMC policies, procedures, and bylaws; follows North Carolina Nurse Practice Act.
