Apploi in the United States NICU is seeking a Milk Technician to join the clinical support team. You will handle Expressed Breast Milk (EBM) and Donor Milk (DHM) with precision, managing receipt, verification, labeling, and distribution while following strict infection control standards.

You will collaborate with nurses and dietitians, utilize the Timeless tracking system, monitor cold-chain storage, and perform opening/closing duties with comprehensive handoffs for the next shift in a 24-hour

Formación

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with Timeless tracking system and basic computer applications.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow sterile protocols.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced NICU environment and collaborate with nurses and dietitians.

Responsabilidades

• Clinical Preparation & Fortification: Prepare patient-specific feeds by following fortification orders.
• Sterile Technique: Maintain a sterile environment with PPE to prevent contamination.
• Unit-Dose Portioning: Portion milk into syringes/bottles according to feeding volumes.
• Labeling Integrity: Apply accurate electronic labels with patient identifiers and expiration.
• Intake & Verification: Receive milk, verify labels against patient MRNs.
• Electronic Tracking: Use Timeless to document volume, expression time, and storage location.
• Cold-Chain Management: Monitor temperatures and store milk correctly.
• Safety Audits: Check for expiring milk, low supply, or damaged containers.
• Clinical Coordination: Review feeding orders and prioritize time-critical prep.
• Delivery Rounds: Transport feeds and handoffs to NICU.
• Shift Maintenance: Sanitize surfaces and hand off inventory to next shift.
