Job summary

The TemPositions Group is seeking a Milk Technician to join the NICU clinical support team. You will handle Expressed Breast Milk (EBM) and Donor Human Milk (DHM) with strict adherence to infection prevention standards and hospital policy.

Your role includes end-to-end receipt, verification, scanning, sterile preparation, and distribution of milk to ensure correct nutrition for vulnerable infants. You will work in a 24-hour operation with shift rotations, focusing on precise fortification,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Timeless electronic tracking.
• Strong sterile technique and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow complex fortification recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient-specific feeds by following fortification orders and complex recipes.
• Maintain sterile environment with proper PPE and aseptic technique.
• Accurately portion milk into syringes or bottles per feeding volumes.
• Generate and apply electronic tracking labels with Timeless for accurate identifiers and expiration timing.
• Receive milk shipments and verify labels against patient MRNs.
• Monitor and document refrigerator/freezer temperatures and store milk correctly.
• Transport prepared feeds to NICU and perform nurse handoffs as required.
• Perform opening/closing duties and provide a handoff report on inventory.
