Job summary

Midwest Alarm Services is seeking a service technician to inspect, test, and repair electronic life safety systems in commercial and industrial settings. You will deliver excellent customer service while adhering to safety and compliance standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and NICET certification within a prescribed timeframe. Knowledge of fire and electrical codes is essential, with room for growth and certifications through the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong knowledge of fire and electrical codes.
• Must be able to obtain NICET level certification within a prescribed time frame.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass background/drug tests.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform fire protection inspections and preventive maintenance on client fire alarm systems.
• Inspect and service clean agent and CO2 suppression systems.
• Communicate technical information clearly to clients and document activities.
• Maintain an organized inspection schedule and complete all required paperwork on time.
• Assist and train junior inspectors to follow procedures and maintain standards.
