University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Pensions Officer to join the Pensions Team at Five Ways. You will support pension members, learn on the job with regular study time, and complete the apprenticeship under external supervision.

You will learn to manage pensions, use IT tools, and understand complex regulations while working to deadlines and delivering a high-quality service to NHS staff.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including Maths and English at grade 5 or above.
• 1–2 years basic NHS or pensions knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication and accuracy under deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Process payroll and view/edit pension records for an allocated NHS Trust section.
• Carry out basic and complex pension calculations with sensitive data.
• Ensure compliance with Agenda for Change, policies and statutory rules.
• Handle information professionally with empathy and good interpersonal skills.
