Job summary

The Growth Company is seeking an Apprentice Pensions Administration Apprentice to learn pension administration while delivering accurate member benefit calculations and record-keeping in a supportive setting.

You will train on the job, progress through apprenticeship qualifications, and gain experience in dealing with member, employer and trustee queries via phone, email and letter, while meeting service targets.

Qualifications

• Educated to A Level or equivalent.
• Ability to demonstrate strong numeracy skills.
• Commitment to completing apprenticeship qualification.
• Must have permission to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Calculate benefits for members (leavers, retirements, transfers, deaths).
• Maintain membership records on the administration system.
• Deal with general and technical queries from members, the employer and trustees by telephone, email and letter.
• Support in processing team workloads, calculating and settling member entitlements.
• Manage workloads to meet service standards or targets and escalate concerns.
• Answer inbound telephone and email enquiries with verification checks.
• Collate periodical client information/reports.
• Contribute to scheme events or projects.
• Develop technical competency by attending technical briefings and using scheme documentation.
