Job summary

Personalis, Inc. in Fremont, CA is seeking an Associate Scientist to initiate and support improvements to Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) products and to lead transfer and validation into operations.

The role requires hands-on molecular biology skills and familiarity with high-throughput LIMS and robotic systems. You will collaborate with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Regulatory teams to implement new products, validate workflows, and ensure scalable processes in a CLIA/CAP-regulated

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences field required, advanced degree a plus.
• Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques.
• Familiarity with high-throughput lab information systems (LIMS) and robotic liquid handlers.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus; tbd on project-based contributions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with R&D, Operations, LIMS, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Quality, and Regulatory to implement new products and automate processes.
• Plan operational releases and manage product life cycle.
• Contribute to scalable lab operational processes and meet regulatory requirements.
• Support non-conformance investigations and corrective actions.
• Assist the LIMS team with deploying improvements to Operations Informatics systems.
