Job summary

Alltrna is seeking a Research Associate II / Senior Research Associate for the NGS Core. You will own end-to-end RNA-based NGS experiments, from extraction through sequencing, QC, and documentation.

The role collaborates with molecular biology, computational biology, and lab automation teams, and operates KingFisher, Mantis, and Biomek systems to drive data-driven workflow improvements while delivering high-quality data on schedule.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in biology or related discipline with 2+ years (RA II) or 4+ years (Senior RA) experience.
• Hands-on nucleic acids work including RNA/DNA extraction and QC.
• Experience with Illumina NGS library preparation and QC metrics.
• Ability to manage high-volume requests with accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end NGS experiments from RNA extraction to sequencing and QC.
• Operate automation platforms KingFisher, Mantis, and Biomek.
• Evaluate QC metrics, troubleshoot deviations, and document results.
• Follow SOPs and maintain accurate electronic lab notebooks (Benchling).
• Collaborate with molecular biology, computational biology, and automation teams.
