Ascent Global Logistics in Belleville, Michigan, is seeking an NFO Desk Team Lead to direct our time-critical operations. You will supervise the NFO Desk team, liaising with clients, vendors and company offices to deliver reliable, high‑quality service across all shipments and platforms.

The role requires strong mentoring and management skills, ability to work under pressure, and a track record of coaching staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Strong mentoring and management skills.
• Experience Next Flight Out shipments, systems and vendor operations is strongly preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and follow through on tasks.
• Ability to lead discussion group and motivate/develop staff.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through.
• Proven ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with direct staff, management peers and senior level management

Responsibilities

• Lead the NFO Desk Team and liaise with clients, vendors, and offices.
• Ensure shipment orders processed per SOPs and standards are successful.
• Oversee SOP adherence and escalate issues.
• Provide positive coaching and mentoring to team members.
• Assist in training staff on new/revised SOPs and policies.
• Communicate and document issues that may impact operations.
• Monitor productivity and service level performance; act on red status.
• Support across shifts to maximize operating effectiveness and efficiency
