Job summary

Hamilton County Schools is seeking a Boys Lacrosse assistant coach to support the program and ensure adherence to required coaching and safety certifications.

The role requires timely completion of NFHS courses, First Aid, Health & Safety for Coaches, and any applicable state health policies, with ongoing compliance for annual renewals.

Qualifications

• Coaches must complete NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching and First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches before assuming the position.
• ASEP Coaching Education Course completed before May 15, 2013 exempts from the NFHS courses.
• Coaches must meet state health and safety requirements and maintain required certifications (Concussion, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Heat Illness Prevention, COVID-19).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with mandatory coach education and safety certifications.
• Assist with lacrosse program duties as assigned and coordinate with athletic department to maintain safety policies.

Responsibilities

Non-faculty Coaches and Classified Employee Coaches must complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses prior to assuming the position. Coaches who have successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to May 15, 2013, will not be required to take the NFHS courses.

• School Level AD should keep Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate- Copy on file every year.
