Job summary

The Jewish Federation of Greater Houston is seeking a NexGen Philanthropy Manager to grow a strategic philanthropy program for Houston’s Jewish community. You will engage young adults aged 30-45, guiding them from initial contact to deeper involvement while collaborating with a multidisciplinary fundraising team.

Qualifications

• College Degree required.
• Minimum seven years of fundraising experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Experience working with volunteer leadership.
• Ability to travel internationally and attend events after hours.

Responsibilities

• Grow the donor pipeline among 30- to 40-year-olds.
• Recruit, cultivate and steward the NYL Cabinet with $5,000 gifts for five years.
• Build and manage NYL Cabinet Alumni engagement.
• Coordinate with YAD Engagement team to connect emerging leaders to philanthropy.
• Manage a portfolio with growth potential and limited past giving.
• Collaborate with Women’s Philanthropy to grow Step-Up Lion program.
• Partner with philanthropy and other departments to maximize fundraising.
