Job summary

Sinclair Broadcast Group in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Director for our Newscast. The role involves directing and TDing newscasts, creating graphics daily with Photoshop and Deko, and training the production crew.

You will supervise the crew, maintain the studio and control room, and may contribute to website updates. Requirements include directing/TDing experience, strong knowledge of production standards, and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Experience Directing and TDing newscasts.
• Knowledge of production standards and equipment.
• Full working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to clearly give direction to crew while under pressure.
• Typing and good spelling skills necessary.
• Ability to read and write, college degree preferred.
• Must be able to lift & position 40 pound lighting instruments.

WSTM/WSTQ/WTVH is looking for a Director for our Newscast.

Responsibilities:

• Perform any production duties as assigned including:
• Direct and TD any assigned newscasts and productions
• Create graphics daily using Photoshop and Deko
• Train production crew in cameras, audio, graphics, etc.
• Supervise production crew on a daily basis
• Maintain production studio and control room
• Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned, which may include website contribution

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.00 - $21.00 an hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans,flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
