Job summary

WRGB/WCWN in New York is seeking a Director for our Newscast to lead production and technical operations. You will direct and TD newscasts, create daily graphics with Photoshop and Deko, train the crew on cameras, audio and graphics, supervise daily production, and maintain the studio and control room.

A background in directing, strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, and the ability to give clear directions under pressure are required.

Qualifications

• Experience Directing and TDing newscasts.
• Knowledge of production standards and equipment.
• Full working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to clearly give direction to crew while under pressure.
• Typing and good spelling skills necessary.
• Read and write; college degree preferred.
• Must be able to lift & position 40 pound lighting instruments.

WRGB/WCWN is looking for a Director for our Newscast.

Responsibilities:

• Perform any production duties as assigned including:

• Direct and TD any assigned newscasts and productions

• Create graphics daily using Photoshop and Deko

• Train production crew in cameras, audio, graphics, etc.

• Supervise production crew on a daily basis

• Maintain production studio and control room

• Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned, which may include website contribution

Requirements:

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.52 to $19.52 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
