Job summary

Sinclair Inc. in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Newscast Director for WSET. This role directs and TDs assigned newscasts and specials using Ross Overdrive while maintaining the studio and control room.

You will manage the studio floor, operate robotic cameras, and handle teleprompter duties. The position requires readiness to work a 4am–1pm morning shift and to fill in during holidays, nights, and weekends. Qualified candidates have experience directing newscasts, strong production knowledge, and

WSET is looking for a Newscast Director.

Responsibilities

Perform any production duties as assigned including:

• Direct and TD any assigned newscasts and special productions using Ross Overdrive
• Maintain studio and control room
• Studio floor manager
• Operation of robotic cameras
• Teleprompter operator
• Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned
• This is a morning shift, Monday through Friday 4am - 1pm. But you must also be willing to work holidays, nights, and weekends as needed for fill in

Requirements

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $17.79 to $18.89 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full-time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan
