Job summary

KEYE in Austin, TX is seeking a Director for our Newscast. You will direct and TD assigned newscasts, supervise the production crew, and maintain the studio and control room.

Requirements include experience directing and TDing, strong knowledge of production standards and equipment, and proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite; college degree preferred. The position requires ability to work under pressure and lift lighting instruments up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to clearly direct crew while under pressure.
• Typing and good spelling skills are necessary.
• Reading and writing ability; college degree preferred.

• Train production crew in cameras, audio, graphics, etc.
• Supervise production crew on a daily basis
• Maintain production studio and control room
• Perform other tasks related to the position as assigned, which may include website contribution
