Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of front-end web development technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
• Extensive experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Node.js.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and core web development principles.
• Demonstrated ability to own features and components through the full SDLC and participate in peer code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship component-level features for ABC News and ABC OTV station sites.
• Write clean, tested code in TypeScript, Node, and React; test and debug; ensure readability and maintainability in reviews.
• Develop specifications for components, projects, and fixes; collaborate with product and design partners.
• Contribute to evolving engineering practices and standards across the team.
• Support software throughout its lifecycle: maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation upkeep.
• Apply judgment to resolve technical issues and elevate context when guidance is needed.
