Job summary

Disney seeks a Senior Product Software Engineer for the News Web Squad, focused on ABC News and eight ABC OTV sites. You will build and maintain web experiences, surface personalized video, and support breaking news across communities using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Node.js.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
Extensive experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Node.js and modern front-end web development.
Proven ability to own products and features through the full software development lifecycle.
Experience designing and delivering scalable features for high-traffic environments.
Strong commitment to software quality including automated testing and code reviews.

Responsibilities

Build and ship product-level features for ABC News and ABC OTV sites.
Develop specifications and technical designs for new features and architecture improvements.
Review code and mentor peers to raise quality and consistency.
Identify opportunities to improve tooling, performance, and developer experience.
Lead implementation of testing, accessibility, and observability improvements.
Collaborate with engineers across ESPN and Disney brands to shared solutions.
