Job summary

Gray Media’s Hawaii News Now team in Honolulu seeks a Producer to craft energetic newscasts and engaging stories for TV and digital platforms. You will lead on-air and online reporting under tight deadlines, collaborating with anchors, reporters, and photographers.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong writing, newsroom leadership, and the ability to post stories across social channels. DOE; must be flexible with hours.

Qualifications

Experience with ENPS and Edius editing is a plus.
Experience producing special reports and breaking news will put a candidate ahead of others.
College degree in journalism or related experience is required.
Must be able to work extra hours, holidays, etc.
Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Produce a variety of newscasts.
Line producing experience in a competitive market with anchors, LIVE reporters, and directors.
Strong writing and communication with natural leadership.
Ability to clarify complex issues for viewers and web users.
Handle fast-paced, breaking news with LIVE reports and social updates.
Post stories to station website and all social platforms.
