Job summary

Gray Media’s KHNL-TV/Gray Media group in Hawaii seeks a Producer to deliver energetic newscasts and engaging stories across platforms under tight deadlines. The role demands strong writing, leadership, and the ability to adapt quickly to breaking news and events.

The ideal candidate has line-producing experience in a competitive market, proficiency with ENPS and EDIUS, and a journalism degree. Expect to work varied shifts, including evenings and holidays, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• College degree in journalism or related experience is required.
• Experience with ENPS and Edius editing is a plus.
• Experience producing special reports and breaking news will put a candidate ahead of others.
• Must be able to work extra hours, holidays, etc.
• Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Produce a variety of newscasts.
• Line producer experience in a competitive news market.
• Be a great writer and communicator with natural leadership skills.
• Sift through complicated issues and provide clarity to viewers and web users.
• Post stories to the station website and all social media platforms.
