Job summary

UCLA Outpatient Clinics seeks a Newborn Screening Program Specialist to support statewide newborn screening activities under the UCLA Area Service Center. You will handle health reporting, administrative tasks, data management and case follow‑up for providers, facilities, pediatricians, and families.

You will prepare routine and ad hoc reports using SIS and BI/PEP, develop facility‑specific materials, and follow up on positive or incomplete specimens.

Responsibilities

• Support result reporting and case management for birthing providers, facilities, pediatricians, and families.
• Maintain accurate program data and prepare routine and ad hoc reports using SIS, internal databases, and BI/PEP reports.
• Provide follow‑up for positive, incomplete, inadequate, early, missed, and not‑obtained newborn screening specimens.
• Participate in ASC site visits, educational events and annual quality improvement planning; assist with education materials, newsletters, charts, and presentations.
