Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Travel Newborn Nursery Registered Nurse for a 13-week onsite assignment in Gadson, AL. Day shift 7a-7p, 3 days per week, starts ASAP. Travel RN with NICU/newborn nursery experience is preferred; ACLS, BLS, NRP required; Alabama license with no NURSYS hits is mandatory.

Compensation includes weekly stipends of $1,267 plus base pay of $684–$720 per week, totaling $1,951–$1,987 weekly. Standard benefits are included; duration is 13 weeks with potential extension.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NRP certification required.
• 2+ years Nursery RN experience preferred.
• Licensed to practice in Alabama (no NURSYS hits)

Responsibilities

• Provide neonatal nursing care to newborns using the Nursing Process.
• Monitor and document vitals, feeding, thermoregulation, jaundice, and respiratory status.
• Educate parents and collaborate with NICU team and physicians to ensure safe delivery of care.

Required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, 2 yrs Nursery RN exp. 50 mi from facility. Licensed to practice in AL (no NURSYS Hits)

The Registered Nurse in the nursery holds shift accountability for providing care to Newborn Nursery patients during the immediate neonatal phase and newborn care by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of the staff available; provides direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
