HMFP at BIDMC, Inc. is seeking a part-time Newborn Hospitalist to provide inpatient care in the well-baby nursery of Mount Auburn Hospital. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of pediatricians, ensuring high-quality care for term infants while sharing weekend and holiday coverage duties.
The ideal candidate will have an MD or DO, be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics, and possess excellent communication skills. Comprehensive benefits and performance-based incentives are offered.
Position Summary: Provide inpatient care in the well‑baby nursery of Mount Auburn Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching hospital. Work with a team of four pediatricians on daily rounds, with no night‑call duties. Weekend and holiday coverage is shared evenly. Responsibilities include performing circumcisions, frenotomies, and other on‑the‑job training for associated procedures. The nursery supports approximately 2,600 births per year with 24‑hour in‑house neonatology coverage.
Pay Range: $187,000 – $275,000. Compensation may be adjusted based on academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geographic location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. Eligible for performance‑based incentives, including productivity and quality bonuses.
