Job summary

HMFP at BIDMC seeks a part-time Newborn Hospitalist to provide primary clinical care in the Cambridge Hospital newborn units and delivery room. The role includes teaching Harvard Medical School students and rotating through its tertiary affiliate Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Ideal candidates are MDs or DOs with Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine board eligibility or certification, and MA licensure or eligibility.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified or active candidate for Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine sub-board certification by the ABP.
• A valid MA medical license or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary clinical care in the newborn units and delivery room.
• Collaborate with obstetric and NICU teams to ensure seamless care.
• Teach Harvard Medical School students and rotate through affiliated centers as needed.

Job Description

Position Title: Newborn Hospitalist Department of Neonatology HMFP at LSP Cambridge Hospital Longwood Specialty Physicians (LSP), Department of Neonatology, is seeking a part-time newborn hospitalist. This position includes primary clinical responsibilities in the newborn units and delivery room at Cambridge Hospital with opportunities to teach Harvard Medical School students, as well as rotation through its tertiary affiliate, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Job Requirements

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school


• Board-certified or an active candidate for Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine sub-board certification by the American Board of Pediatrics


• A valid MA medical license or the ability to obtain one


• Excellent communication and leadership skills


• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Pay Range

Pay Range: $187,000 - $275,000 The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality
