Job summary

The Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in Brandon, FL is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screener for a long-term, per diem position. You will perform newborn hearing screenings across various hospital locations, ensuring accuracy and compassionate patient care for families in our community.

Responsibilities include following screening protocols, accurate data entry, communicating results to parents, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion, or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Performs newborn hearing screenings in assigned locations following established protocols.
• Submits billing paperwork within the same working day of screening.
• Identifies all new births and enters patient demographics into screening equipment.
• Communicates the screening process and results to parents and provides educational materials.
• Maintains hand hygiene and equipment cleaning protocols to ensure a safe environment.
