Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings. You will be on-site at multiple locations, with on-the-job training and annual American Academy of Audiology certification.

The role emphasizes screen readiness, accurate data collection, timely reporting, compassionate care for infants and families, and adherence to safety and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or obtain upon offer.
• Weekend and national holiday availability required.
• Entry level healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with PPE, vaccines, safety protocols and orientations; raise questions or concerns to HS Manager.
• Evaluate screen readiness before each screen (fed, quiet, not moving).
• Collect data for each baby and perform the hearing screen; document results per protocol.
• Treat each screened baby and family with care and respect during this milestone.
• Upload screen results and state reporting by end of shift; reconcile stats as instructed.
• Perform screens efficiently without compromising quality or patient education.
• Notify Site Supervisor of missed and referred babies.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for referred babies; perform other duties as assigned.
