Job summary

Pediatrix is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hearing screens in hospital settings. You will screen newborns, educate families, and ensure timely documentation and reporting during each shift, with on-the-job training and certification supported by the company.

The role requires on-site work at hospital locations, flexibility to cover weekends and holidays, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• CPR certification required or obtained after offer.
• Willingness to work weekends and national holidays.
• Entry-level role; 1–3 months experience with newborns preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents on the importance of early intervention.
• Comply with all policies, PPE, vaccinations, and hospital orientations; escalate concerns to HS Manager.
• Assess screen readiness before testing and ensure reliable results.
• Document data and demographics; upload screen results and billing; reconcile stats.
• Advise parents on next steps and ensure timely communication with care teams.
• Schedule outpatient appointments for referred babies when appropriate.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
