The role involves educating parents about the importance of screening and coordinating with hospital staff to ensure timely follow-up and referrals when needed. Training and certification are provided through Pediatrix.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform newborn hearing screens and educate parents on results and next steps.
• Ensure readiness of each baby for screening (fed, calm, still).
• Collect demographic data and complete documentation for each screening.
• Communicate with families with sensitivity and provide education about results.
