Job summary

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to perform hospital-based hearing screens for newborns in Salem, OR. You will work on-site, receive on-the-job training, and complete annual certification through the American Academy of Audiology.

This entry-level role requires excellent communication, dependability, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Flexible weekend availability and CPR certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current CPR Certification or obtain upon offer.
• Flexibility to work on weekends and national holidays.

Responsibilities

• Comply with PPE, vaccinations, and safety protocols at all times.
• Evaluate screen readiness before performing a screen.
• Collect demographics and perform hearing screens for each baby.
• Ensure documentation and data entry for every screen.
• Educate families about the necessity and results of screening.
• Notify supervisor of missed and refer babies and schedule follow-ups.
