Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of data science research or related work experience.
• Strong interpersonal communication and cultural responsiveness.
• Ability to work possible weekend and evening hours.
• Nonjudgmental, harm-reduction approach to assisting patients with SUD.
• Experience with electronic documentation, reporting systems, and data tracking.
• Proficient with electronic health records and standard office software; willingness to learn internal systems.
• Ability to represent UC Irvine Health externally.
• Ability to analyze complex matters and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate newborn family screening and risk assessment using Bridges Tool.
• Ensure prescreening, eligibility determinations, and timely referrals to enhanced services (e.g., home visiting programs).
• Maintain documentation and data entry meeting program timelines and data integrity standards.
• Provide non-clinical bedside education and information on community resources.
• Manage inventory and distribution of Kits for New Parents.
• Ensure HIPAA and information-sharing compliance.
• Collaborate with nursing, case management, social work, physicians, lactation consultants, and community partners to support care transitions.
• Educate hospital staff on program workflows and resources; monitor contract compliance and outcomes.
