Job summary

Jobtailor in New York seeks a versatile People Operations/Workplace Officer to run the New York workplace, coordinate with suppliers, and support onboarding, offboarding, benefits and local compliance. You will serve as the local point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day queries and collaborate with the People Success team on employee needs.

You will build expertise in US employment practices, advise global teams, and partner with Finance on expenses and supplier management.

Qualifications

• Experience in a broad People, Workplace and Operations role.
• Experience in a growing technology company or similarly fast-moving environment is ideal.
• Experience with People and Workplace Operations, including employee lifecycle processes, running an office, managing suppliers and creating a positive employee experience.
• Knowledge of US employment practices.
• Experience supporting managers and employees through day-to-day People matters.
• Experience building and improving processes in a growing or changing environment.
• Experience with operational Finance activities, such as expenses, accounting administration and supplier management.
• Ability to work autonomously and make appropriate decisions or escalations.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and operate independently.
• Must have permission to work in the US without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates expertise in People and Workplace Operations, including employee lifecycle processes and US employment practices, while effectively managing office operations and supplier relationships.
• Proactively connects with People Success to support employee and manager needs.
• Builds expertise in US employment practices and advises global teams on US employee needs.
• Partners with Finance on expenses, accounting administration and supplier management.
• Identifies gaps, simplifies processes and improves ways of working.
• Takes ownership of operational problems as the New York team grows.
