Job summary

Aldridge Pite, LLP is seeking a New York Evictions Attorney to handle a high-volume eviction caseload and provide legal guidance to clients. The ideal candidate will be admitted to the New York State Bar and possess at least one year of practice experience in New York, with eviction-related exposure preferred.

The attorney will draft pleadings, motions, and discovery, represent clients in court, and stay current on NY eviction law changes and trends, including GCEL and Rent Stabilization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Member of the New York State Bar, maintaining licensing and CLE requirements.
• Minimum of one year of experience practicing law in New York.
• Eviction, foreclosure, litigation, or title experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle high-volume eviction caseload, provide legal advice, conduct legal research, draft complaints, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
• Represent clients in court hearings; prior courtroom experience is preferred.
• Stay current on eviction law changes and trends in New York; GCEL and Rent Stabilization knowledge is highly preferred.
• Educate clients regarding eviction law changes and trends.
