HNE invites applications for a New York Evictions Attorney to join our real estate creditor rights practice. The role focuses on managing eviction matters, advising clients, and representing them through the eviction process in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is admitted to the New York bar, has at least 1 year of practice, and strong research, writing, advocacy, and negotiation skills. Experience with Good Cause Eviction or Rent Stabilization is a plus.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Minimum of 1 year of legal practice experience.
• Prior eviction-law experience preferred; foreclosure, litigation, or title experience is a plus.
• Strong legal research, writing, advocacy, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsabilités

• Manage a high-volume caseload of eviction matters from initiation through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, oppositions, and discovery documents.
• Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on eviction-related matters.
• Represent clients at court hearings and other legal proceedings.
• Stay current on New York eviction laws and regulatory changes, including GCEL and Rent Stabilization regulations.
• Educate clients on legal developments, trends, and compliance requirements affecting eviction actions.
