National Fuel is seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative for our Cheektowaga, NY Customer Assistance Center. The role involves serving customers in person and handling inbound calls across the New York service territory, with responsibilities spanning billing, account questions, and payments.

The position includes a structured 12–14 week in-person training in Williamsville, NY, followed by a regular Monday–Friday schedule (8:00–4:30 or 8:15–4:45).

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in person at a walk-in office and handle daily inbound calls.

• Process meter readings and new service requests as needed.
• Participate in a 12–14 week instructor-led training program with regular assessments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• No weekends or evenings are required!
• Training Requirements
• Employees must complete an approximately 12–14-week, instructor-led training program that includes regular assessments.
• During training, the schedule will be Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Training will be conducted in person in Williamsville, NY. Proper notice will be provided before training begins.
• Work Schedule
  • The regular work schedule at National Fuel’s Cheektowaga, NY location will be Monday through Friday, either 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 8:15 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
• Serve customers in person at a walk-in office and handle daily inbound calls from utility customers throughout National Fuel’s New York service territory.
• Address a wide range of customer needs, including emergency calls, account and billing questions, collection matters, meter readings, new service requests, and payment processing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a customer service focused environment
• Proficient at navigating computer applications and web-based programs
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Proven history of dependability and reliability

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience with SAP and/or Microsoft Office applications.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This is a position within the Company’s collective bargaining unit with an hourly rate of pay.

• Starting rate of pay $26.18/hour
• After 6 months $27.90/hour
• After one year $30.81/hour
