National Fuel Gas Company is seeking a Materials & Inventory Manager for the Materials Management department at our Buffalo, NY hub. You will oversee $15M in materials, lead a 9-person warehouse team, and develop delivery schedules across NY and PA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of materials/inventory valued around $15M.
• Lead a 9-person warehouse team with daily work assignments and performance tracking.
• Develop material delivery schedules across NY and PA locations.
• Prepare and monitor the annual division budget, including reconciliations.
• Perform SOX control testing and monitor price variances.
• Direct inventory audits, reconciliations, and cycle counts.
• Generate reports on stock turnover, usage, backorders, and in-transit materials.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to maintain stock.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversight for the receipt, storage, and distribution of approximately $15M of materials/inventory
• Management of a 9-person warehouse team (2 salaried and 7 hourly employees); including directing daily work assignments, monitoring weekly performance metrics and manpower forecasting
• Development of material delivery schedules to National Fuel work locations throughout NY and PA
• Preparation and active monitoring of the annual budget for the division, including regular account reconciliations
• SOX control testing/compliance and monitoring of unit price changes and variances
• Directing inventory audits/reconciliations and the warehouse cycle count process
• Production of numerous reports relating to stockroom turnover, material usage, backorders, material in transit, etc.
• Monitoring of inventory levels and coordinating with relevant departments to ensure adequate stock levels

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or a related field
• Proven experience managing a team
• Exceptional organization, attention to detail and analytical skills
• Familiarity with inventory/shipping/material management logistics and processes
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience supervising employees in a unionized environment
• Experience using PeopleSoft Financials, particularly the Inventory module
• Experience with SOX controls, inventory audits, or financial reconciliations

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The base salary range for this position is $100,000 – $120,000.

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licensures, industry specific experience, education and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
