About The Role

Ready to take your litigation skills to the next level? Segal McCambridge, a nationally recognized firm, is looking for an Associate Attorney to join our General Liability / Insurance Defense practice group in NYC.

Here, you’ll handle a diverse caseload spanning personal injury, recreation, venue liability, professional liability, and more. You’ll work on high-impact cases, gain hands-on litigation experience, and collaborate with experienced partners who are invested in your growth.

What You’ll Do

• Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and motions
• Conduct legal research and prepare case strategy
• Take and defend depositions
• Manage client communication and reporting
• Handle mediations and arbitrations (if you have experience, great! If not, you’ll learn.)
• Work with experienced mentors while maintaining autonomy
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed in NY (PA/NJ or another jurisdiction? Even better!)
• 3+ years of general liability / insurance defense experience - you’ve handled pleadings, motions, depositions, discovery, and legal research
• Strong analytical skills - you can break down complex legal issues and produce top-tier work
• Great communication skills - you’re confident in writing, advocacy, and client interactions
