Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a New Model Program Engineer to drive launch excellence for new vehicle programs in North American plants. You will manage pre-production builds, oversee issue resolution, budget execution, and cross-functional integration to ensure on-time production launches.

The role emphasizes program management, status reporting, risk assessment, and collaboration with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver validated launches within the established schedule.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project.
• 2+ years of experience with problem-solving disciplines using statistical mindsets.
• 1+ years of experience in Powertrain/Vehicle Operations manufacturing, design, and/or program management, with project management or launch experience.
• Program management experience focused on maintaining issues and working with cross-functional teams to resolve them.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key gatekeeper for New Model Programs, ensuring adherence to established processes and standards throughout the launch lifecycle.
• Manage and oversee pre-production build events to ensure they meet program objectives for quality and efficiency.
• Manage the ordering, building, testing, and final disposition of pre-production vehicles.
• Execute the Pre-Production Drive Fleet Evaluation Plan.
• Manage the approval process for Product Development changes and ensure changes are integrated and proven ahead of prototype builds.
• Lead the build issues management process for cross-functional program teams, driving issues to resolution and timely closure.
• Co-chair relevant launch meetings and proactively drive resolution of part support issues for each pre-production build event.
• Manage launch budget approval processes and execute elements controlled by New Model Programs within the overall launch budget.
• Prepare and present weekly New Model Program assessment reports, providing program status updates and highlighting potential risks.
• Support senior management presentations by communicating program status, challenges, and proposed solutions.
• Facilitate the transition and integration of launch teams into manufacturing plants.
• Maintain a list of issues and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
• Travel as required.
