Job summary

Jay Peak Resort is seeking a Ski & Snowboard Instructor to provide direct instruction in group and 1-on-1 formats across varied terrains. You’ll participate in team-building, maintain credentials, and help guests maximize their mountain experience.

The role offers flexible scheduling within team needs and comprehensive training to prepare you for success in a dynamic resort environment.

SUMMARY

The Ski & Snowboard Instructor role provides direct ski or snowboarding instruction to guests in various formats (group, 1-on-1) and terrains. The Ski & Snowboard instructor participates in teambuilding and skill building exercises and actively maintains and/or improves their instructing credentials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES(include the following, other duties may be assigned)

• Provide friendly and welcoming service to guests of all ages and skill levels
• Delivering high-quality, professional instruction to guests
• Responsible for the safety and learning of students in lessons
• Actively utilize WhenToWork scheduling app to stay aware of schedule and maintain good attendance
• Be aware of and follow all resort and department policies/procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in the winter mountain environment
• Active participation in trainings throughout the season (ongoing, in-house, PSIA/AASI)
• Opportunity to support other departments may be available
