Rolls-Royce invites students to join a 12-week Summer internship in Brownstown, MI. You’ll work with packaging engineers on warehouse optimization, ASRS troubleshooting, and process improvements while learning ERP tools and reading drawings.

Ideal candidates are pursuing an engineering degree, maintaining a 3.0 GPA, legally eligible to work in the U.S., and ready to contribute to ISO 9001 packaging standards. This role offers hands-on experience in a global company.

Competenze

• Enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing an engineering degree (Packaging, Materials, Mechanical).
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Graduating May–Aug 2028, 2029 or 2030.
• Ability to read drawings and understand electrical/mechanical systems.

Mansioni

• Support packaging engineers on warehouse projects including facility, kitting, inbound receiving, outbound shipping, inventory and storage optimization.
• Assist with packaging and ASRS equipment and troubleshoot failures.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics providers to analyse and improve warehouse processes.
• Create and track packaging specifications (≈200 new parts/month).
• Support the definition and mapping of packaging and kitting procedures per ISO 9001 standards.
• Promote a compliance culture and uphold the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
• Other tasks as assigned.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting packaging engineers on warehouse projects including facility, kitting, inbound receiving, outbound shipping, inventory and storage optimization with a focus on packaging
• Supporting packaging and Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) equipment and trouble shoot failures
• Collaborating with third party logistics provider to analyze and improve warehouse processes
• Creating and track packaging specifications - approximately 200 new parts/month
• Supporting the definition and mapping of packaging and kitting procedures per ISO 9001 standards
• Promoting a compliance culture in areas of responsibility, and live the letter and the “Spirit of the Rolls-Royce” Code of Conduct
• Other tasks as assigned

Who we’re looking for:

Enrolled in an accredited college/university, completed a minimum of one year of college and pursuing a degree in one of the following or equivalent:

• Packing Engineering
• Materials Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems including the ability to read drawings
• Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and computer tracking applications
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
• Strong organizational, planning and follow-up skills
• Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite

Minimum GPA: 3.0

Work authorization eligibility: To be considered, you must be a U.S. Citizen. There is no visa sponsorship for this position.
