Job summary

ERock seeks a driven Microgrid Mechanical Technician to maintain and service multiple microgrid generators. You will repair Volvo Penta diesel engines and generator ends, use manufacturer software to diagnose issues, and coordinate with Area Managers to meet customer needs.

The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical work, with potential for flexible hours and travel to job sites. Experience with diesel engines and strong troubleshooting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with Volvo Penta Diesel Engines and generator sets.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficient with computers, software, databases and diagnostics tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled repairs on marine/diesel generators and related equipment.
• Learn and use manufacturer software to diagnose engine/control system issues.
• Coordinate with Area Managers to ensure generators meet customer requirements.
• Perform preventive, scheduled, or predictive maintenance on generator sets.
• Troubleshoot and repair generator equipment and controls as needed.
• Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety standards.
