Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks a New Model Evaluation Engineer to join the NAQC New Model Team and help test, evaluate, and improve the quality of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles for North America.

You will conduct vehicle evaluations, collect objective and subjective data, perform root cause analyses, and provide engineering recommendations to enhance vehicle quality and customer satisfaction while collaborating with R&D, assembly plants, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 0-5 years experience in automotive engineering preferred.
• Knowledge of QA/QC principles and practices; valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate chassis, powertrain, and electrical concerns on new vehicle models.
• Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide recommendations.
• Plan, lead, and support vehicle testing activities with internal teams and affiliates.
• Prepare technical reports, status updates, and test results.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 40%.
