Job summary

M/I Homes, Inc. is seeking a New Home Consultant to guide customers through the homebuying journey, showcasing features, floorplans, and designs that match each buyer’s needs. You will coordinate with internal teams to ensure a seamless homebuilding process and superior customer satisfaction.

Strong communication, active listening, and a track record of sales success are required. Weekend work is expected, with a focus on building relationships and guiding buyers from first meeting to closing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of new home sales experience in housing market
• Strong communication, active listening and negotiation skills
• Ability to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals with minimal supervision
• Ready to learn and adapt to technology and internal processes
• Must currently possess and maintain state and local real estate licenses

Responsibilities

• Convert visiting customers to new home communities into future homeowners
• Generate sales using marketing materials, model homes, and realtor relationships
• Educate buyers on offerings, community advantages, financing programs
• Serve as primary contact from initial meeting to home closing
• Collaborate with internal teams and attend division meetings
• Monitor community appearance and home maintenance to protect brand image
