Position Summary: Provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process. Meets the physical, psychosocial, religious/cultural needs of patients and families. Communicates effectively with the healthcare team about patient condition or response to treatment. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: Successful completion of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited school.

Required Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work under stress, and take appropriate action.

Certifications/License: BLS certification through AHA required upon hire. ACLS required within 6 months. Valid North Carolina or compact RN license required. Handle with Care certification required within 90 days, and Handle with Care training within 6 months.
