Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Associate’s degree in Nursing, Diploma RN, or Master’s degree in Nursing.
Must be a graduate of an accredited RN nursing program.
Minimum of one (1) year of Registered Nursing experience; OR Must be accepted into the UAMS New Graduate RN Residency Program.
Valid Registered Nursing License
Basic computer skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong work ethics and accountability.
Physical requirements: Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).
Must have Current BLS · ACLS certification (or obtain certification within one year of starting in this role)

Responsibilities:
Collects and document assessment data from patients and/or others per UAMS standards.
Develops the patient's Plan of Care (POC) utilizing assessment data.
Administers moderate sedation and monitor patients during interventional procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Assists the radiologist during angiographic and interventional procedures by preparing supply trays, passing guide wires and catheters, and maintaining sterile technique.
Provides effective patient and family education regarding procedures, care plans, and discharge instructions to ensure understanding and compliance.
Collaborates and communicates with nursing staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive leaders, and other stakeholders to coordinate patient care.
Documents all aspects of care thoroughly per hospital policy, ensuring accurate and timely medical records.
Participates in departmental and unit meetings to promote a positive work environment, enhancing employee and patient satisfaction.
Promotes an environment conducive to positive educational experiences for all students and staff, supporting continuous learning and professional growth.
May perform other duties as assigned.
